Millions of drivers already know the name. Converting to Pemex means built-in brand recognition, not building it from zero.
A familiar name on the corner and the highway, now backed by Enpramex’s U.S. supply, logistics and OPIS-indexed pricing.
Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) was created on March 18, 1938, when Mexico nationalized its oil industry and placed it in the hands of a single state-owned company. Nearly nine decades later, Pemex remains one of the world’s largest integrated energy companies, operating the full value chain: exploring and producing crude oil and natural gas, refining it into fuels, and moving product through a national network of pipelines, storage terminals and tanker fleets.
That chain ends at the forecourt: more than 13,000 franchised Pemex-branded service stations across Mexico, run by independent operators who license the brand and buy the fuel behind it. It is exactly that operating model that Enpramex licenses and supplies for the U.S. market: a trusted national brand, franchised to local operators, backed by dedicated supply.
From offshore platforms in the Gulf of Campeche to refineries, pipelines and terminals across Mexico, this is the industrial scale behind the brand on the canopy.
Every liter sold under the Pemex brand travels one integrated chain, and understanding that chain is understanding why the brand carries the trust it does.
Pemex produces crude oil and natural gas from fields led by the shallow-water Gulf of Campeche, the origin of every barrel in the chain.
A national refining system (including the Deer Park refinery in Houston, Texas) turns that crude into gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and petrochemicals.
Thousands of kilometers of pipelines, storage terminals and tanker fleets move finished product from the refinery gate to every region Pemex serves.
Pemex and Enpramex grew up on opposite sides of the same border: one as Mexico’s national energy company, the other as a Houston-based trader built on the U.S. Gulf Coast. The licensed retail partnership brings those two stories together at the pump.
